MG 3 arrives in the UK next month – price from £8399

All the UK models of the new MG 3 (pictured) will cost under £10k MG revealed the UK MG 3 back in June as their design centre in Birmingham, and it’s not a terrible looking thing – at least from some angle. But whether the relatively low tech and the implication that this is the rebirth of MG Motors will be enough to persuade UK buyers in remains in doubt. Land Rover pledges continued support for Race2Recovery

LAND ROVER has confirmed it will continue to sponsor the Race2Rocovery team of injured British servicemen who are tackling the 2014 Dakar Rally. The Race2Recovery team is the only disabled rally outfit in the world and will compete using Land Rover-based Wildcat race machines. Land Rover is providing the team with parts, logistics, vehicle and financial support throughout their 2014 campaign.

Daihatsu FC ShoCase

The FC ShoCase is the most unorthodox of the three concepts being previewed by Daihatsu prior to their unveil at the forthcoming Tokyo motoshow. The 'FC' in the name stands for fuel cell, and this concept is in essence a technology demonstrator for the company's next generation technology, which use no precious metals in their construction. Sitting – like its concept siblings – under the Kei car classification (it is just 3395mm long), the FC ShoCase nonetheless has space for four occupants, seated in exceptionally thin seats that fold down to create a secondary floor.
